Ng Hui

Ng Hui is an honours graduate from the School of Communication Studies, NTU, specializing in Electronic Broadcast Media. Known for her eccentric personality, Hui was awarded the Nanyang Young Alumni Award and won the MediaCorp Star Awards Best Supporting Actress as well as The New Paper Best Breakthrough Performance Award for her role as the long-suffering majie - ‘Ah Tao’, in “The Little Nonya”.

Effectively bilingual, Ng Hui’s performing experiences began at a very young age—in storytelling, musicals, stage performances and theatre. She was talent-spotted during her internship with MediaCorp, leading to her television acting debut as Apple, in the highly-anticipated English sitcom “Living With Lydia”. Besides acting, Ng Hui is also involved in hosting and ‘behind-the-scenes’ production works.

Since 2015, Ng Hui has embarked on a teaching career and is currently a full-time educator. Although heavily involved in teaching commitments, Ng Hui continues on her own path of being an eclectic artiste. In 2022, Ng Hui has started her own educational business, TAOKE, to continue to contribute to the community.
