Remesh Panicker


Remesh Panicker has been in love with the stage since he first stumbled onto one at age 14 – making 2024 his 50th year in the theatre. Over the course of his professional career he has played to critical acclaim in various productions – from broad comedy to Shakespeare. He has played God (Noah’s Fluddle/The Perfect Ganesh) to the Devil (Peter’s Passionate Pursuit). He has inhabited Shakespeare’s Shylock, Polonius and Lord Capulet. And starred in ART, Master Harold & the Boys; The Odd Couple; Tuesdays with Morrie; Proof, Iron; Caucasian Chalk Circle; Sunset Rise; A Disappearing Number, Death of a Salesman; Homesick and My Mother Buys Condoms. He was last seen in Edith Podesta’s Pompeii (SIFA 2023). Remesh also has a clutch of TV credits. He’s a five-time nominee and three-time winner of The Straits Times Life Theatre Awards, and a Best Actor nominee at the Asian Television Awards. Remesh is also a 45-year veteran professional voice talent and narrator with over 2000 recordings to date – documentaries, commercials and corporate work. In his day job, Remesh is a multi-award winning executive producer, writer and creative consultant. This is Remesh’s first collaboration with Alvin Tan – and he’s enjoyed every minute of it!
