Seong Hui Xuan


Hui Xuan is a theatre performer and creative. She has worked locally as well as internationally, having been invited to perform, choreograph and teach in Australia, Malaysia, Indonesia and Korea. Her work has been seen internationally in major festivals like the Commonwealth Games Festival, Pesta Boneka, Georgetown Festival, Shanghai International Musical Festival, Melbourne Fringe Festival and OzAsia Festival. She holds a BA (First-class Hons.) in Musical Theatre and also co-runs 7/8 Musical Collective, a contemporary musical theatre collective.

Choreography credits include: The Amazing Celestial Race (Wild Rice), The Soldier and His Virtuous Wife, Liao Zhai Rocks! and Lao Jiu: The Musical (The Theatre Practice), Chicken Little (SRT), Forever Young (Sing’Theatre); associate choreographer: Forbidden City, The Three Billy Goats Gruff and Little Red Riding Hood (SRT); assistant choreographer: Rent (Pangdemonium) and The LKY Musical (Metropolitan Productions); dance captain: Tropicana The Musical (Spare Room Productions) and Company (Dream Academy).

She has also worked extensively as an actor and musical theatre performer, with professional productions including: Company, Rabbit Hole, The Amazing Celestial Race, Café, Urinetown, La Cage aux Folles, Twelfth Night, Rent, Spring Awakening, The Full Monty, Forbidden City, Coraline, The Last Bull: A Life In Flamenco, Into The Woods, and more.
